Naser Samani

Senior Drilling Engineer at Dana Energy

Naser Samani has a significant work experience in the oil and gas industry. Naser started their career in 2013 as a Drilling Engineer at Petropars (PPars) and worked there for two years. In 2015, they joined Dana Energy as a Drilling Engineer in the Engineering department, focusing on well construction and upstream services. Naser was later promoted to the role of Senior Drilling Engineer within the same company. In 2019, Naser moved to OIEC Group as a Senior Drilling Engineer and worked there until 2021. Naser then returned to Dana Energy as a Senior Drilling Engineer, and their employment there is ongoing.

Naser Samani began their education in 2002 at Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering (Exploration) in 2007. Naser then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Geomechanics at the University of Tehran from 2007 to 2010.

In addition to their academic achievements, Naser has obtained various certifications throughout their career. In 2016, they obtained a certification in ISO 9001:2015, Quality Management System, Requirements and Documentation from G-CERTi. In 2015, they received certifications in HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training), H2S Safety, Fire Fighting, and First Aid from Sea Safety School. Naser also completed a certification course in 1D Well-Centric Geomechanical Modeling Using Well Data, Advanced Wellbore Stability Simulations, and Real-time Monitoring Techniques at IRPGA in 2015.

Furthermore, in 2015, Naser obtained the IADC- WellCAP Supervisor Level certification, Full course, Surface Stack from Falcon. In 2014, they obtained a certification in Oil and Gas Wells Cementing from Marzban Petro Energy (MPE). Prior to that, in 2013, they completed the Practical Drilling, Completion, and Well Planning Course offered by Petropars Oil Well Services Company in association with NIOC-Exploration Directorate & National Iranian South Oil Field Company.

Naser's educational journey also includes several educational courses. In 2008, they completed the Educational Course of Rock Fracture Network Modeling offered by the International Society for Rock Mechanics (ISRM). That same year, they also completed the Educational Course of Rock Engineering for Drill-and-Blast and Tunneling offered by IRSRM. In 2007, they finished the Educational Course of Hydraulic Fracturing, Theory, and Applications, also offered by IRSRM.
