OVERVIEW

Dandelion Energy is seeking a staff accountant to join our accounting team. This team member will report to the Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate has a solid foundational understanding of accounting, works effectively in a team environment and independently, and is a hard worker and a team player.

This role is a hybrid position based out of our DC headquarters in Courthouse, Arlington. Our fun, lively office is one block from Courthouse metro station (Orange and Silver lines), and only a 10 min drive / 20 min bike ride from downtown DC. Equally accessible from Northern VA, Bethesda, etc.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Record monthly close entries and complete balance sheet reconciliations for the following accounts: Cash, A/R, Prepaids, Fixed Assets, ROU Assets and Lease Liabilities, and other accounts as needed
  • Roll forward weekly and monthly cash flow reports
  • Apply payments against open A/R Invoices in NetSuite
  • Provide daily deposit detail to A/R team
  • Provide requested support to auditors for timely completion of annual audit
  • Assist with physical inventory counts as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
  • 2+ years relevant accounting experience required
  • Experience with NetSuite and Microsoft Excel required
  • Experience with Bill.com and Expensify preferred
  • Experience with inventory accounting is a plus
