The Opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for Accountant, to join our Finance team on a full-time basis.

Reporting to the FP&A Lead, Europe, the primary purpose of this position is to ensure the integrity of the General Ledger, efficient finance support to the business, timely reporting of financials in accordance with local FRS requirements and internal accounting policy, timely submission of VAT and Tax related tasks in accordance with local tax authority while advising on technical accounting and optimizing internal processes.

Key accountabilities include:

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for a range of key functions critical to the smooth operation of our finance department. Your duties will include:

Accounts Payable

  • Accounts Payable management of the entire lifecycle, including approvals, posting, and filing invoices, of third-party invoice and expense claims of both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Manage corporate card spending and reimbursements with system (Zeno) and with guidance from T&E & other related Policies.

  • Bank Management: responsible for payment run for group entities, recording transactions, setting up payments, and reconciling accounts for group entities

  • Assist with the weekly Cash Flow Forecast and ensuring low variance between the forecast and actual cash flow.

  • Ensure all transactions are in compliance with accounting policy and business model.

  • Manage the finance generic inbox, including triaging and addressing requests

General Ledger Include Asset Management

  • Manage and ensure monthly closing process is in accordance with local FRS requirements and internal timeframes.
  • Perform analysis on Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Flux and update on TM1 portal.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations on Blackline portal.
  • Manage fixed assets register such as asset depreciation, capex expenditure and in accordance with local FRS requirements for designated group entities
  • Prepare and manage VAT statutory submission, reconciliation between the VAT accounts and forms.
  • Liaise with tax agent on yearly tax submission and draft tax computations including Annual Year-End Tax Package with Finance manager.
  • Preparation of Financial statement for statutory reporting in accordance with the local FRS requirements.
  • Preparation of necessary documentation and liaise with External auditors in the audit process and annual reporting matters

Other

  • Support in budgeting process

  • Adopt continuous improvement in the daily operations, engaging in continuous improvement projects

  • Support implementation of new financial policies

  • Ensure SMART goals and objectives are developed, finalised and approved by February of each year

About You

To be successful in this role, We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical  and problem solving skills and the ability to manage multiple financial tasks for our group entities in Switzerland and Ireland for iNova business in Europe. This role requires the ability to work, both independently and collaboratively, to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of financials and efficient execution of accounting tasks in support of the business. You will possess a Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent. CPA/CA desirable with a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in financial accounting in international companies.

Other key requirements for this role include:

  • Possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficient in English (written and verbal) is a must, German is advantageous.
  • Proficient in MS office particularly Excel skills. Good working knowledge of SAP required.
  • Working knowledge of taxation and treasury will be an advantage
  • You are an end-to-end process thinker and result-oriented deliver with a natural interest in improving processes
  • You possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • You are reliable, a self-starter and progressive thinker, with the ability to prioritize, drive initiatives and resolution, and adapt new procedures
