Alexandre Beardshall has a diverse range of work experience. Alexandre started their career as a Summer Intern at Huawei Technologies, where they gained insight into the operations of tech companies and developed their language and technical skills. Alexandre then joined World Merit as a Youth Delegate, where they participated in a global leadership program and created a marketing plan for a solar fishing lamp initiative in Tanzania.
Later, Alexandre worked at the University of Southampton as a Consultant in the Social Impact Lab, where they performed market research and provided recommendations to expand a safety app for women and girls into new global markets.
Alexandre also had significant experience at Enactus, where they served as a Project Leader for JuaMaji, establishing clean water and fish farming businesses in Kenya and Malawi. Alexandre successfully secured funding and partnerships for the project through pitches to organizations including Unilever. Alexandre also held the role of Student VP - International Projects at Enactus, setting strategic goals for multiple enterprises and presenting on their impact to business leaders and students at Enactus Nationals.
Alexandre then joined PA Consulting, first as an Analyst in the Data Science & Analytics practice, where they used social media analytics to build business models for clients and designed financial and operational models for UK infrastructure projects. Alexandre then transitioned to a Consultant role in the Strategy practice, where they identified R&D efficiencies for a global Consumer Goods company, developed a sustainability strategy for a leading US chemicals company, and sold an AI project to optimize a Scottish private equity firm's onshore wind portfolio.
After their time at PA Consulting, Alexandre joined foodpanda as a Growth & Insights Manager. In this role, they managed cross-functional Innovation projects focused on using data to power AI-driven business innovation. Alexandre successfully increased promotional order revenue and order efficiency across multiple markets through the delivery of an AI-powered promotion optimizer.
Currently, Alexandre is working at Daraz as a Senior Data Strategy Manager. Alexandre is responsible for the recommendation modules in the e-commerce app and is working cross-functionally with data scientists, business teams, and the C-Suite to deliver tailored suggestions to consumers. Alexandre is also busy with the incubation and kickstart of a new feature focusing on user engagement through short videos and livestreams.
Alexandre Beardshall completed their education as follows:
1. From 2001 to 2014, Alexandre attended Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle de Londres, where they obtained the Baccalauréat Scientifique degree.
2. In 2016, Alexandre took a Chinese Language & Culture Course at Beijing Language and Culture University.
3. From 2014 to 2018, Alexandre studied at the University of Southampton and received an MEng in Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering.
Additionally, Alexandre has obtained several certifications:
- In 2020, Alexandre completed the Financial Markets certification from Yale University.
- In 2019, they earned the Data Science in Python certification from DataCamp.
- Alexandre also holds certifications in PRINCE2 Foundation from SPOCE Project Management Ltd., Better Business Cases Foundation from APMG International, Catalyst from University of Southampton Science Park, and Common Purpose Beijing from Common Purpose, all obtained in 2019.
- Lastly, in 2012, Alexandre achieved Grade 7 Drama certification from Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
