Dinith Prasanga

Dinith Prasanga has a diverse work experience spanning across multiple industries. Dinith started their career in 2006 as a Medical Project Supervisor at Intelligent image management Lanka Pvt Ltd. (IIML), where they worked as a Medical Data Entry Operator and was later promoted as a Medical Data Entry Supervisor. In 2009, they joined Vista Computers Pvt ltd as a Service & Marketing Executive, where they worked until 2010.

In 2011, Dinith joined Delta Engineering SL as an Engineering Assistant and worked there until 2014. Dinith then moved on to Kaymu Asia in 2015, where they worked as an Operations Executive.

However, Dinith's most significant work experience is with Daraz, where they have held various roles since joining in 2016. Dinith started as an Operations Executive and progressively advanced to higher positions, including Senior Operations Executive, Fleet Manager, Regional Manager, Process Excellence Manager, and most recently, Head of Operations LM.

Throughout their tenure at Daraz, Dinith has been responsible for various key initiatives and accomplishments. Dinith pioneered a delivery rider incentive plan as a Regional Manager to improve employee contribution towards success rates. Dinith also led efforts to lower per-package costs by establishing customer and seller package drop-off and collection centers nationwide. Additionally, they signed up logistics marketplaces in tier 1 and 2 cities to gain more control and visibility on last-mile delivery and reduce 3PL costs.

As a Fleet Manager, Dinith played a crucial role in setting up and expanding the last-mile team, reducing the cost per package by 30% and improving the success rate. Dinith coordinated the planning and execution of the in-house fleet expansion, covering densely populated areas in Sri Lanka.

In their roles at Daraz, Dinith focused on improving operational efficiency, monitoring backlog reports, and ensuring SOP compliance to achieve higher success rates and efficiency. Dinith also restructuring customer returns collection and delivery processes to enhance customer satisfaction and boost the shipped-to-delivered success rate.

Dinith Prasanga attended Kottawa Dharmapala Maha Vidyalaya from 1991 to 2004, where they completed their High School education with a focus on Mathematics Advance Level. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certification in Completion of Speechcraft from Toastmasters International in December 2022.
