Regional Program Manager, Customer Experience at Daraz Nepal

Tarun Roy has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Tarun started their career as a Project Trainee at CMC LTD in 2014. From 2015 to 2016, they worked at Frost & Sullivan as a Management Associate, where they gained exposure to various functions such as research, consulting, sales, and marketing. Tarun then progressed to the role of Consulting Associate, monitoring global and regional markets in the Industrial Automation & Process Control domain.

In 2017, Tarun continued their journey at Frost & Sullivan as a Consulting Analyst, delivering strategy consulting projects and syndicated research assignments for multinational industrial technology and electronics firms in the Asia-Pacific region. Tarun provided insights and assisted clients in making strategic decisions, driving business planning, and building sustainable go-to-market strategies.

Tarun's next experience was at CloudCover in 2020 as an Analyst - Business Operations. Here, they collaborated with senior management and C-level executives to understand business challenges and designed and executed solutions across products, policies, and processes. Tarun tracked performance metrics and key drivers, created reports and presentations to support decision-making, and worked cross-functionally on an internal systems integration and automation project.

From 2021 to 2022, they joined Shopee as a Senior Associate in Regional Operations. In this role, they focused on analytics and drove continuous improvement initiatives for quality and cost optimization in customer service. Tarun developed KPI reports and presentations at the regional and HQ level and synthesized strategies for demand and supply optimization. Tarun also designed and conducted A/B tests for proactive in-app notifications to improve customer experience and reduce logistics-related customer service tickets.

Currently, Tarun is working at Daraz as a Regional Program Manager for Customer Experience. Tarun started in 2023 and their responsibilities and accomplishments in this role are not yet specified.

Tarun Roy completed their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Supply Chain and Logistics Management from the University of Warwick in 2020. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Srinagar, which they completed in 2015. Tarun also obtained an Intermediate degree in Computer Science from Dr. Virendra Swarup Education Centre between 2005 and 2010.

In terms of additional certifications, Tarun obtained CEO-level Presentation Skills - Slide Writing for Consulting certification from Udemy in October 2021. Tarun also completed certifications in Introduction to Power BI, Data Modeling in Power BI, and SQL Server Fundamentals from DataCamp in 2021 and 2020 respectively. Additionally, Tarun obtained certifications in GDPR Training from the University of Warwick, Information Security Essentials from Cylix Limited, and Research Integrity from Epigeum, all in April 2020.
