Niresh Sewpursad Lion (MBA)

Niresh Sewpursad has a diverse work experience spanning across multiple roles and companies. Their most recent role is as the Head of Managed Services at Dariel, where they collaborate with various stakeholders to make strategic technical decisions and ensure the optimization and improvement of products and services. Before joining Dariel, they worked at Road Accident Fund in various positions, including Information Technology Service Delivery Manager, ICT Test & QA Manager, Special Projects and Service Delivery Office of CIO, and Interim Manager for ICT Commercials, Licensing, and Budgets. In these roles, they managed relationships, implemented innovative solutions, and oversaw budgeting and procurement processes. Prior to Road Accident Fund, Niresh held positions at Telkom as a Specialist ICT Project Manager, Specialist Test Analyst, and ICT Specialist, and at Coastal Book Publishers as an IT Desktop Engineer. Overall, they have demonstrated expertise in project management, IT service delivery, and strategic decision-making.

Niresh obtained a Professional Diploma in Cyber Security from Austen Peay State University in 2022. Prior to that, they completed a degree in Business and Systems Analysis: Principles and Practices at Stellenbosch Business School from 2019 to 2020.

In 2017, Niresh earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from MANCOSA, specializing in Business Administration and Management. Niresh also completed a Management Development Programme (MDP) at Stellenbosch Business School in 2008.

Their undergraduate degree is in Engineering: Computer Systems from Durban University of Technology, which they obtained from 2000 to 2003.

Lastly, they completed their secondary education at Stanger Secondary School in 1996, earning a Grade 12.

In addition to their formal education, Niresh also holds multiple certifications. Niresh obtained certifications in Cyber Security from Upskillist in August 2022.
