Francisco Vargas Piedra

Francisco Vargas Piedra has a diverse work experience starting as a Network Engineer at Liberty Costa Rica in 2011. Francisco then moved on to Hewlett-Packard in 2014 as a Software System Engineer II, focusing on R&D and software development. At Akamai Technologies, they held various roles from Solutions Architect to Data Engineer Senior, showing their expertise in data engineering and customer solutions. Currently, they are the Lead Customer Data Engineer at Databricks, showcasing their leadership and data engineering skills at a high level.

Francisco Vargas Piedra holds a Master's degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in Data Science. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Computers and Networks from Universidad de Costa Rica UCR. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications in fields such as data engineering, platform administration, and project management from institutions like Databricks, Microsoft, and Coursera.
