Amit Penmetcha has several years of experience in the software engineering field. Amit started their career at Lockheed Martin, where they worked as a Systems Engineer on projects related to System Wide Information Management (SWIM) and En Route Automation Modernization (ERAM). Amit developed web service interfaces, XML schemas, and worked on System Requirements Documents (SRDs). After that, they joined Leidos as a Software Engineer, where they played the role of a Scrum Master and developed web applications for pilots with flight planning and weather briefing capabilities. At Forcepoint, Amit worked as a Senior Software Engineer, designing and developing products for secure transfer of classified information. Amit developed web applications and backend processes using Java and Javascript with the Spring Framework. Currently, Amit works at Dataminr as a Senior Software Engineer.
Amit Penmetcha pursued their education in a chronological order, starting in 2004. Amit earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Engineering from Cornell University, completing their studies in 2008. In 2009, they attended Cornell University again and obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Computer Engineering in 2009. Continuing their academic journey, Amit Penmetcha pursued a Master's degree in Systems Engineering at Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering from 2011 to 2014.
