David Liubinas

APAC Head Of Business Development at Dataminr

David Liubinas has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. David is currently working at Dataminr as the APAC Head of Business Development, a position they assumed in January 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as a Business Development Manager at Dataminr from December 2020 to January 2022.

Before joining Dataminr, David took a career break from 2018 to 2020 and was a recipient of the Victorian Government Hamer Scholarship. During this time, they studied Mandarin at Nanjing University, further developing their language skills and cultural competency.

From 2015 to 2018, David worked at SUSE as an Enterprise Account Executive, responsible for driving sales and exceeding annual targets. David was recognized for their performance and invited to attend SUSE's annual Executive Strategy meeting.

Prior to SUSE, David worked at IBM from 2014 to 2015. David held two roles within the company, including Account Manager for Server Solutions and Sales and Support Intern for Server Solutions. In these positions, they successfully engaged with clients, managed enterprise servers, and organized product launches and pricing projects.

In 2014, David briefly worked as a Student Consultant on Multinational Employee Retention at Mondelēz International. Before that, they gained experience as a Summer Intern in Product Marketing at connectfurniture.com.au in 2013.

David's work experience also includes a role as an Activities Officer at the University of Melbourne Student Union, which they held from 2008 to 2010.

David Liubinas completed a Master's Degree in Management from Melbourne Business School in the years 2012-2014. David pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) from the University of Melbourne with a major in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from the same institution with majors in Political Science and History, completing both degrees between 2006-2012. In 2018-2020, David participated in the Hamer Scholarship (Australian Government) program at Nanjing University, focusing on intensive Mandarin studies. Additionally, they obtained various certifications including ISO 22301 Business Continuity and ISO 31000 Risk Management from PECB in 2021, Inbound Sales from HubSpot Academy in 2020, and Learn Salesforce 2017: Lightning from Lynda.com in 2020, among others.
