Katie Hamilton

Katie Hamilton has an extensive work experience across various industries. Katie started their career in 2006 at ITV as a Trainee Journalist, where they gained experience in newsroom operations, shadowing journalists, and assisting with interviews and scripting. Katie then moved on to become a Junction Scheduler, responsible for finishing schedules and sending them to transmission.

In 2009, Katie joined BBC - Radio Manchester as a Broadcast Journalist, where they worked on news and programs. Katie'sresponsibilities included finding original stories, researching and booking guests, and producing packages for the news. Katie demonstrated strong on-air presence and the ability to script and edit pieces on location.

From 2009 to 2010, Katie worked at BSkyB as a Sky Social Media Assistant. In this role, they generated content for the Sky 1 website, monitored and updated the website, and used social media to engage new audience members.

In 2010, Katie had freelance roles at Sky News and ITN as a Broadcast Journalist, where they were involved in election coverage, ensuring timely and accurate information was presented online and passed on to presenters. At ITN, they also worked on a project examining the global climate of news and evaluating news sources.

From 2010 to 2015, Katie worked at ITN as an Online Producer. Katie'sresponsibilities included researching, editing, and producing video and copy for the ITV News website, as well as managing social media accounts and producing livestreams.

Since 2015, Katie has been working at Dataminr, starting as a Domain Expert and progressing to roles such as Training Specialist, Operations & Training London Lead, Senior Operations Manager, and Associate Director of Operations. Currently, they hold the position of Director Scaled Operations.
