Greg Stachnick

Greg Stachnick has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Greg is currently working at DataStax as the Vice President of Product Management, a position they started in June 2023. Prior to that, they were a Product Manager at DataStax from March 2022 to June 2023.

Before joining DataStax, Greg worked at GridGain Systems as the Director of Product Management from February 2019 to March 2022. In this role, they led the development tools and cloud managed services products, consolidated multiple legacy development tools projects into a single new tool called GridGain Control Center, and led the migration of GridGain products to a cloud-native SaaS offering called GridGain Nebula.

Greg also has experience at Code for America, where they worked as a Product Manager from November 2018 to February 2019. At Code for America, they focused on product management responsibilities.

From June 2008 to February 2018, Greg served as the Senior Director of Product Management at Oracle. Greg managed the Oracle Developer Cloud Service, a hosted DevOps and Agile development platform, and was responsible for driving its feature set, pricing, release schedule, and customer enablement.

Prior to their role at Oracle, Greg worked at BEA Systems as a Senior Product Manager from September 2005 to June 2008. In this role, they were responsible for driving the feature set, requirements, release schedule, and field/support enablement for BEA Workshop, a JavaEE development tool. Greg also evangelized JavaEE development and BEA products at user groups, conferences, and meetups.

Before working at BEA Systems, Greg was a Senior Sales Engineer at M7 Corporation, which was later acquired by BEA Systems, from November 2004 to September 2005. Greg served as a technical sales consultant for NitroX, a web development IDE, and was responsible for building customer-facing demos and proof of concept applications, as well as writing customer-facing documentation and tutorials.

At Parasoft Corporation, Greg worked as a Systems Engineer from October 2000 to November 2004. In this role, they provided technical support for Jtest, an automated testing tool for Java, developed and delivered onsite training content for customers, and consulted with them on implementing automated testing strategies.

Greg started their career as a Staff Research Associate at the University of California, San Diego - School of Medicine from January 1998 to October 2000. In this role, they worked in the department of Immunology and Allergy, focusing on research and development of a new immunotherapy for allergic asthma.

Greg Stachnick has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Neuroscience from UC San Diego, which they obtained between the years 1993 and 1997. Greg also pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science at San Diego State University, starting in 2002 and still in progress as of 2004. Additionally, it is known that Greg attended Monta Vista, but no specific dates or degrees were provided for this educational experience.
