Mary Grygleski

Mary Grygleski has a diverse work experience in the field of software development and advocacy. Mary is currently working as a Senior Developer Advocate at DataStax since March 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of President at the Chicago Java Users Group starting from January 2020.

In 2022, Mary also worked as a Lead Developer Advocate at HiveMQ from January to March.

From August 2018 to January 2022, Mary worked at IBM as a Senior Developer Advocate. Mary'srole involved engaging software developers and architects in the technical communities, presenting new technical topics, organizing meetups and panel discussions, and covering a wide range of Java and Open Source technologies.

Before IBM, Mary worked at U.S. Cellular as a Senior Software Engineer and Technical Architect from May 2016 to May 2018. Mary also worked at Appnovation Technologies as a Professional Services Developer specializing in Java and Mulesoft from November 2015 to May 2016.

Mary has experience as an Experienced Software Engineer at GoHealth from September 2014 to November 2015. Prior to that, they worked as an Application Consultant at Bank of America from October 2013 to September 2014.

Earlier in their career, Mary worked as a Technical Lead/Project Manager (consultant) at CBOE from October 2011 to September 2013 and as a Senior I.T. Developer (consultant) at 1to1 Card from July 2012 to October 2012.

Mary Grygleski attended Springfield College from 1984 to 1988 and obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. In addition, they obtained a certification in IBM Quantum Conversations from IBM in March 2020.
