Sean McCarthy

Sean McCarthy has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Sean started their career as a Test Engineering Intern at DataStax, where they triaged regressions of distributed database integration tests and developed tools for developers and test engineers. Sean then progressed to the role of a Software Engineer at the same company, where they contributed to the development and maintenance of software products. Currently, Sean holds the position of a Senior Software Engineer at DataStax. Before joining DataStax, Sean worked as a Student Technical Consultant at the University of Pittsburgh Computer Services and Systems Development, where they provided end user software installation and testing support, as well as general software and operating systems support.

Sean McCarthy attended the University of Pittsburgh from 2012 to 2017, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Economics. In September 2016, they also received a DataStax Apache Cassandra™ Professional Certification from DataStax.
