Kenneth Keenan

Kenneth Keenan has extensive work experience in the field of information security. Kenneth most recently served as the Head of Information Security at Davidson Kempner Capital Management starting from September 2019. Prior to that, they worked as an Information Security, Data Protection Lead at Susquehanna International Group, LLP (SIG) from May 2018 to August 2019.

Before joining SIG, Keenan worked at Synchrony Financial where they held the position of VP, Detection Technology Leader. In this role, they led teams responsible for various security operations, including analysis of security events, creation of security content, and implementation of enterprise network access control solutions. Kenneth was with Synchrony Financial from December 2014 to May 2018.

Earlier in their career, Keenan served as a Senior Systems Engineer at Penn Color, Inc., where they were responsible for the architecture and implementation of a complete refresh of the company's computing environment. This involved the replacement of legacy servers with virtual platforms and the redesign of firewall, switching, routing, storage, and backup solutions. Kenneth held this position from January 2014 to December 2014.

Prior to joining Penn Color, Keenan worked at Citi as an AVP, Senior Technical Analyst. In this role, they were part of the security operations team, handling the deployment and maintenance of the company's SIEM environment, as well as leading the implementation of new security technologies. Kenneth was with Citi from December 2011 to January 2014.

Keenan also served as the Manager of Network Operations at AccessLex Institute from July 2009 to December 2011. In this role, they led the network architecture, engineering, and operations for the company's datacenter and user segments, as well as managing the infrastructure for the web hosting environment and network security.

Earlier in their career, Keenan worked as a Security Engineer at Industrial Defender - Fandotech IT Services, providing support for the MSS Security Operations Center (SOC) and developing custom solutions for SIEM and IDS products. Kenneth was with the company from August 2006 to May 2009.

Kenneth began their career as a SOC Analyst at e-DMZ Security, where they worked in a 24x7x365 Security Operations Center (SOC) providing firewall support, log analysis, and network IDS support for Fortune 500 companies. Kenneth held this position from July 2004 to August 2006.

Kenneth Keenan completed their Technical College Degree in Network Security from The Chubb Institute from 2002 to 2004.
