Area Facilities Operations Specialist at DAWSON

Shawn Novinger has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Since 2021, they have been working as an Area Facilities Operations Specialist at DAWSON, where they provide technical support for 99th RD DPW programs by evaluating the condition of building systems and performing quality assurance of maintenance.

Prior to this, Shawn worked at VisionCorps from 2012 to 2020. Shawn held multiple roles, including Product Development, Operations Support, and Fleet Manager, where they focused on customer service, relationship building, and identifying customer needs. Shawn also served as the Director of Plant Readiness and Process Improvement, managing the operation and production of two manufacturing facilities.

From 2007 to 2012, Shawn worked as a Project Manager at Tyco SimplexGrinnell, overseeing life safety and security projects. Shawn managed large and complex projects, ensuring the scope of work, project schedules, and customer expectations were met.

Before that, from 2005 to 2007, they worked as a Project Manager at Metso, handling high-value engagements and collaborating with senior management, team members, and customers to meet project requirements.

Shawn's work experience also includes being an Operations Manager at Support Solutions from 1998 to 2005.

Shawn Novinger has a diverse education history in the field of Information Technology. In 1999, they enrolled in Penn State University and completed their Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology in 2003. Following this, in 2020, Shawn obtained a Certified Scrum Master degree from Scrum Alliance, further enhancing their knowledge and skills in Information Technology.

Before pursuing higher education, Shawn attended West Perry High School from 1989 to 1993, where they completed their high school education.

In addition to their formal education, Shawn has also obtained additional certifications to broaden their expertise. In 2007, they completed a Project Management certification from Tyco SimplexGrinnell. Furthermore, in 2014, they acquired an OSHA 10 Hour certification from UC San Diego Extension.
