Esther Oberbeck

Esther Oberbeck has extensive experience in strategy and development, particularly in the diamond industry. Starting in 1996, they worked as a Senior Associate at Booz & Company. In 2002, they joined the De Beers Group, where they held various roles, including Group Strategy Manager and Group Head of Strategy. During their time at De Beers, they developed and implemented industry fact bases, managed strategic projects, and designed market intelligence and insight functions. Esther also served as the Chair of the De Beers UK Board of Directors and was responsible for recommending growth strategies based on market research and data analytics. Esther'smost recent role at De Beers was Senior Vice President of Group Strategy Development.

Esther Oberbeck has a diverse education history. Esther earned a Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) from USP - Universidade de São Paulo between 1979 and 1984. Esther then pursued further legal studies and obtained an LL.M. from Georgetown University in 1990-1991, specializing in Common Law and International Law. Esther later pursued business education and completed an MBA in Strategy and Finance from London Business School between 1993 and 1995. In 2016, they attended Harvard Business School for Executive Education in Strategic IQ. Esther also holds an Award in Pension Trusteeship from the Pensions Management Institute (PMI).
