Alex Rein

RF Engineer at Dedrone

Alex Rein has worked in the RF engineering field since 2007. Alex began their career at ViaSat as an RF/Analog/DSP Engineer, where they designed and implemented hardware for satellite communication platforms, and coded DSP solutions for FPGAs. In 2004, they began working at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where they held the roles of Web Programmer, Biotech Career Services, Teaching Assistant for Cubesat Satellite Project, and Engineering Computer Lab Operator. In 2014, Alex moved to RF Technologies, where they served as a Senior Electrical Engineer and was responsible for technical R&D, supporting production, and debugging fielded products. Since 2015, they have been employed at Brady Corporation as a Wireless Engineer and Principal Wireless Systems Engineer, where they design extensive power management, battery charging, processors, memory, wireless connectivity, digital high speed interfaces, and electro-mechanical drivers. Alex is currently employed at Dedrone as an RF Engineer.

Alex Rein received a BS in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics (minor) from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign between 2002 and 2006. Alex then went on to receive an MS in Electrical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University between 2011 and 2012.
