Jim Ortbals

Jim Ortbals has a strong background in sales and channel management, with experience in various leadership roles in the technology industry. Jim currently serves as the Vice President of Channels at Deep Instinct, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Zscaler from 2020 to 2023, where they held multiple roles including Vice President of Global Service Providers, MSSP & Distribution Sales, and Sr. Director of Global Distribution & Service Provider Sales. Before joining Zscaler, Jim served as the Vice President of WW Channels & Cloud Sales at Zerto from 2018 to 2020. Jim also worked at VMware from 2016 to 2018, holding the positions of Director of Commercial & Cloud Partner Sales and Director of Cloud Sales. Jim's earlier experience includes roles at ActivArmor, VOSS, Allot Communications, Cisco, Sylantro Systems, and Sprint Corp. Throughout their career, Jim Ortbals has demonstrated expertise in building and managing sales teams, developing channel strategies, and driving revenue growth in the technology sector.

Jim Ortbals attended DeSmet Jesuit High School. After completing high school, they enrolled in Miami University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems. Jim attended Miami University from 1995 to 1998.
