Diana Avart has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Starting in 2010, they worked as an Intern at the Geneva Lake Museum and later as an Intern at the David Davis Mansion. In 2011, they served as an Assistant to the Assessment Coordinator at Illinois Wesleyan University. Diana then interned at the Spurlock Museum in 2012 as an Education Department Intern.

In 2012, Avart took on multiple roles at Future Tenant, including Executive Director and Social Media and Internet Content Manager. Diana also worked as an Interim Store Manager at the Society for Contemporary Craft in 2014.

From 2015 to 2018, Avart joined The Sprout Fund as a Program Associate, where they managed funding programs and facilitated community investment. Diana also worked as a Program Assistant, Catalytic Funding during this time.

Avart then worked at the City of Tomorrow Challenge at Ford Motor Company in 2018, serving as a Pittsburgh Facilitator. Diana promoted engagement in the challenge and encouraged the development of ideas.

Starting in 2018 until 2022, Avart worked at Carnegie Mellon University, initially as a Human Resources Coordinator and later as a Human Resources Specialist. Diana processed transactions in Workday related to employee hiring and onboarding and provided support to staff and faculty during the onboarding process.

Currently, Avart is employed as an Employee Experience and Partnership Specialist at Deeplocal starting in 2022. Their responsibilities include developing and championing programs that enhance the employee experience, attract talent, and manage the college internship program.

Throughout their career, Avart has demonstrated a strong commitment to human resources, program management, and fostering positive work environments.

Diana Avart has a diverse education history. Diana attended Illinois Wesleyan University from 2008 to 2011, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History and American Studies. In 2011, they participated in the Leiden Program at Central College in Leiden, The Netherlands, focusing on American/United States Studies/Civilization. Later on, they pursued a Master of Arts Management degree at Carnegie Mellon University from 2012 to 2014, specializing in Arts Management.

In addition to their academic achievements, Diana Avart has obtained several certifications. In October 2022, they completed the courses "Be an Inclusive Organization People Won't Leave," "Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences," and "Skills for Inclusive Conversations" from LinkedIn. In February 2022, they became a Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner through Prosci.
