Bogdan Kosanovic

Bogdan Kosanovic has over 35 years of work experience. Bogdan began their career in 1985 as a Systems Programmer at the University of Belgrade/EE Dept. In 1988, they became a Senior Development Engineer at Michael I. Pupin Institute. From 1991 to 1995, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Pittsburgh/EE Dept, researching nonlinear system modeling and identification, digital signal processing, fuzzy systems, and biomedical applications. From 1995 to 1999, they worked at Telogy Networks, Inc. as a MTS/SMTS/Manager, focusing on DSP system architecture, real-time embedded DSP algorithms, and Voice over IP technology. From 1999 to 2014, they worked at Texas Instruments, Inc. as a Software Engineering and R&D Manager, managing a group of software developers and defining new signal, audio, and voice processing technologies. Since 2014, they have been an Advisory Board Member at the University of Maryland, providing expert advice on industry trends and technology, evaluating and suggesting improvements to the undergraduate and graduate curriculum, and mentoring students through the internship program.

Bogdan Kosanovic received their Dipl.Eng. in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Belgrade between 1980 and 1986. Bogdan then pursued an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh between 1991 and 1992, and subsequently earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the same university between 1992 and 1995. Prior to that, they attended Matematicka Gimnazija between 1976 and 1980.
