Matias Pavez has worked in a variety of roles since 2012. Matias began their career as a Robotics Intern at the University of Chile, where they redesigned ROS workspace and integrated a second LIDAR device for robot localization. Matias then worked as a Teaching Assistant and Lead Software Engineer, developing ROS System Integration, Localization, Autonomous Navigation, and Computer Vision components. In 2016, Matias worked as a Web Development Intern at TranSapp Chile SpA and a Computer Vision Intern at CaptAxion. In 2017, they were a Data Mining Engineer at ADATRAP. In 2019, they worked as a Robotics Engineer at Maquintel Robotic Services and an Autonomous Driving Software Engineer at TTTech Auto. Currently, they are a Robotics Team Lead at DeepX, Inc.
Matias Pavez began their educational career in 2010 at the Universidad de Chile, where they obtained dual degrees in Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering in Computer Science. Matias'sfield of study for Electrical Engineering was Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering, and for Civil Engineering in Computer Science it was Computer Software Engineering. In 2020, they obtained a certification in Self-Driving Car Engineer from Udacity.
