Vijay Thangella

Vijay Thangella has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Vijay currently works at Apex Systems as an AI Solutions Director. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Technology Officer at Zapoj.

From 2022 to 2023, they worked at Alvaria, Inc. as the Head of AI and Machine Learning. In this role, they were responsible for setting up the AI/ML practice and developing strategies aligned with the company's core values. Vijay also led the development of data science applications for Alvaria's clients.

Before that, Vijay worked at Accenture as an Artificial Intelligence Leader from 2019 to 2022. In this role, they oversaw the development of AI/ML-powered systems and chatbots for high-profile customers. Vijay also played a key role in defining strategies for implementing AI/ML lifecycle at scale.

Prior to Accenture, Vijay worked as a Data Science Advisor at Cloud Constable, a startup focused on AI-powered cybersecurity solutions. Vijay developed and deployed serverless machine learning models for the product and participated in the IBM XPRIZE global competition.

Vijay also gained valuable experience at Constant Contact from 2009 to 2019, where they served as the Principal Technical Manager. Vijay led teams in supporting BI & Analytics tools for sales and marketing teams and collaborated with digital and analytics teams to develop integrated solutions. Vijay achieved several notable accomplishments, including the creation of revenue recognition and forecasting applications using data science models, as well as the implementation of scoring models using advanced machine learning.

Early in their career, Vijay held various roles at IBM, including DW Architect/Lead Consultant at TJX Companies, Sr ETL Lead Consultant at Scotia Bank, Sr Datastage Consultant at Travelers Insurance, and Datastage Developer at National Bank of Canada.

Vijay Thangella has an extensive education history with a focus on data science and engineering. Vijay completed a Professional Graduate Certification in Data Science from Harvard Extension School from 2015 to 2017. During the same period, they also pursued a similar certification from Harvard University Extension School in Data Science.

Before that, Mr. Thangella attended Wright State University from 2001 to 2003, where they obtained a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Vijay'sundergraduate education was at SRKR Engineering College from 1997 to 2001, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Vijay Thangella has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills. In 2016, they completed the Machine Learning course offered by Coursera and obtained certification. Vijay further expanded their knowledge by completing the Neural Networks and Deep Learning course from Coursera in December 2017. Recently, in May 2021, they obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA) certification from Amazon Web Services.
