Brant C. Shyrigh

Command Sergeant Major Brant C. Shyrigh enlisted in the US Army in December 1991. He completed Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson, SC and Explosive Ordnance Disposal Training at NAVSCOLEOD Indianhead Naval Warfare Center Indianhead, MD and Eglin AFB, FL. CSM Shyrigh has held all noncommissioned officer leadership positions from Sergeant through Command Sergeant Major. CSM Shyrigh previously served as the G-3 Sergeant Major, HQ, Army Material Command.

His military education includes all levels of the Noncommissioned Officers Education System, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Course, Advanced Access and Disablement Improvised Nuclear Course, Advanced EOD Management and Technology, FBI Post Blast Analysis Course, Special Operations Support EOD Direct Actions Level 1 and 2, Basic Airborne Course, United States Sergeants Major Academy Class #63, Army War College Nominative Leaders Course 18-01.

CSM Shyrigh’s assignments include 87th Ordnance Detachment Explosive Ordnance Disposal Presidio San Francisco, California, 6th Ordnance Detachment Explosive Ordnance Disposal Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, 38th Ordnance Company Explosive Ordnance Disposal Fort Stewart, GA, Defense Intelligence Agency Missile and Space Center, Redstone Arsenal, AL, the activation of the first U.S. Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal Special Operations Support Company 28th Ordnance Company Explosive Ordnance Disposal (Airborne) Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Sergeant Major U.S. Army Pacific Command’s Asia Pacific Counter IED Fusion Cell and USARPAC Explosive Ordnance Disposal Division Fort Shafter, Hawaii, 303d Ordnance Battalion Explosive Ordnance Disposal Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, Group Command Sergeant Major 71st Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group, Fort Carson Colorado, Task Force Atlas Command Senior Enlisted Leader, Camp Airfjan, Kuwait. His deployments include two tours in Kuwait, two tours in Iraq and four tours in Afghanistan.
