Barbara Burden

Barbara Burden has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Barbara started their career in 1982 at HM Revenue & Customs, where they held various positions, including Schedule D & E Caseworker and Trainee Inspector of Taxes. Barbara then worked as a Project Manager, Systems Analyst, and Programmer before becoming a Personal Assistant to the Director in the Outsourcing Revenue IT Division. Barbara later joined the Rural Payments Agency in 1997, where they held different roles such as Internal Auditor, Procurement and Contract Manager, and Business Relationship Manager. Barbara also worked on the RPA 2013 Review Recommendations team and was a member of the Enterprise Architecture group. Barbara's most recent experience was at Defra, where they served as the Corporate Goods and Services Category Lead, overseeing procurement and contract management for various categories. Barbara also led the procurement and contract management of a multi-million Finance ERP and accounting system. Overall, Barbara has a strong background in procurement, contract management, and project management, with experience in the public sector.
