Edward Barker is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public service and environmental policy. Currently serving as Director of Natural Environment, Trees & Landscapes at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs since December 2018, Edward has a strong background in trade and international relations, having held the position of Director, Trade Strategy & Capability at the Department for International Trade and Head of Transatlantic & International Unit at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills. Edward also led the Commercial & Economic Diplomacy Department at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Edward's academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Public Policy from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and an education from the University of Oxford and Nottingham High School.
