Nathalie Mullally has extensive work experience in various government departments and agencies. Nathalie began their career at the Environment Agency, where they worked as a Technical Officer and Environment Officer, conducting surveys, managing projects, and providing technical advice on fisheries and biodiversity. Nathalie then joined the Marine and Fisheries Agency, where they served as a Wildlife and Fisheries Enforcement Officer, providing strategic advice and managing funding schemes for the fishing industry. After that, they worked at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) as an Assistant Private Secretary, where they advised the Secretary of State on marine and fisheries policy issues. Nathalie later held roles at Defra as a Policy Advisor, Team Leader, and Lead policy official, focusing on areas such as Brexit, food chain supply, and international trade negotiations. Nathalie also worked at UK Trade & Investment, leading the Business Ambassador and Catalyst UK Programmes and developing strategies for trade and investment activities. Currently, Nathalie is working at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs as the Head of Trade Negotiations Strategy.

Nathalie Mullally has a diverse education history. Nathalie completed their A Levels in Biology, Chemistry, English, French, and Mathematics at Carey Baptist Grammar School from 1993 to 1998. In 2002, they earned a BSc in Marine Biology from the University of Miami. Later, from 1999 to 2002, they pursued another BSc in Marine Biology from James Cook University. In 2003, they obtained a Graduate Diploma of Science in Defensive Mechanisms of Nudibrach Molluscs from James Cook University. Finally, in 2004 and 2005, they attended King's College London, where they achieved an MSc in Aquatic Resource Management.
