Kristen Schramm

Frontend Software Engineer at Degreed

Kristen Schramm began their work experience as an IT Member at Krell Institute in 2009. Kristen went on to work as an Intern at Intermec Technologies in 2010 and 2011, where they gained experience in platform software and systems integration. Kristen then joined Iowa State University as an ECpE Student Ambassador and later as an Intern, where they worked on website development and a web-based security game. In 2010, they co-founded the Digital Women Student Organization at Iowa State University, focusing on supporting and encouraging women in computer and electrical fields. In 2012, Kristen joined Thomson Reuters as a Checkpoint Software Engineer, contributing to frontend and backend development, code reviews, and troubleshooting. Kristen also implemented a system of alerts for browser upgrades for customers. Starting in 2016, Kristen worked as a Software Engineer at Sococo, an online workplace for distributed teams. Kristen joined Degreed in 2019 as a Frontend Software Engineer, leading development for a global error handler and introducing behavior-driven development practices.

Kristen Schramm attended North Polk from 2003 to 2007. After that, they pursued a degree in Computer Engineering at Iowa State University, where they studied from 2007 to 2012.
