Merve Eren

Merve Eren has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries and roles. Merve started their career as a Production Planning Intern at TEI - TUSAş Engine Industries, Inc., where they developed and monitored production schedules. Merve then interned at Groupe Renault, contributing to Kaizen applications and conducting time and work studies in the assembly department.

Next, Merve worked as a Production Planning Intern at Arçelik Global, where they identified raw material and component requirements for production and prioritized production schedules. Merve also gained experience as a Senior Year Design Project participant at Turkish Aerospace, where they developed a tool to simulate alternative layout options using MATLAB.

Merve then joined Aselsan, Turkey's largest defense electronics company, as a Procurement Engineer, managing end-to-end supply chain activities. Merve later transitioned to the role of Project Management Engineer, preparing project proposals, coordinating project management activities, and ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets.

Merve then worked at Hertz as a Pricing and Yield Analyst, leading pricing strategies, forecasting demand, and analyzing competitive threats and opportunities. At Revolut, they served as a Data Analyst, developing a rule-based transaction monitoring model and implementing an AML risk scoring algorithm in collaboration with a software engineer.

Most recently, Merve joined Degreed as an Analytics Engineer, supporting the building of data models, optimizing data warehouse resources, and developing and automating data models and methodologies consumed by multiple teams within the company.

Merve Eren completed their education at Middle East Technical University. Merve obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Industrial Engineering from 2008 to 2013. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Industrial Engineering from 2013 to 2016. In addition to their formal education, Merve Eren has also obtained several certifications. These include Learning Apache Airflow from LinkedIn in July 2023, dbt Developer from dbt Labs in March 2023, dbt Fundamentals from dbt Labs in November 2022, and Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in August 2017.
