Maria Margarita Camara

Animal Research Scientist at Deka Biosciences

Maria Margarita Camara has a long and varied work experience. Maria Margarita began their career in 2002 as a Scientist Associate at ImClone Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eli Lilly and Company. In 2007, they moved to MedImmune as an Associate Scientist, where they supported all aspects of clinical development for multiple complex departmental projects. In 2010, they joined AstraZeneca as an Associate Scientist I, where they led and developed an innovative device/apparatus for the Infectious Diseases Group. In 2022, they began working for NIH-NCI as a Biologist and for Deka Biosciences, Inc as an Animal Research Scientist.

Maria Margarita Camara obtained a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences from Kansas State University from 1991 to 1996. Maria Margarita also holds certifications from Toastmasters International, Villanova University Nursing School Department, and the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science AALAS.
