Associate Scientist, Tech Ops at Deka Biosciences

Victoria Hincapie has a wealth of experience in research and facilitation. Victoria began their career as a Student Researcher at Universidad de Antioquia in 2013. In 2015, they were an Intern at the same university, where they prepared media and solutions and performed PCR reactions. Victoria then moved on to Botanic Garden Foundation "Joaquín Antonio Uribe" as a Research Assistant in 2017. That same year, they were also a Facilitator at Universidad EIA. In 2018, they became a Research Assistant at Universidad de Antioquia, where they prepared media and solutions, performed cell culture, and managed a Live Cell Imaging Confocal microscope. In 2020, they were a Youth Opportunity Ambassador at International Youth Foundation, and a Fellow and Participant in a Storytelling Program for Experiential Learning (SPEL) at Non-profit Hola Cultura. Currently, they are a Research Associate at Deka Biosciences, Inc.

Victoria Hincapie completed their Bachelor of Science in Biology/Cellular and Molecular Biology at Universidad de Antioquia in 2017. Victoria then continued their education at Montgomery College in 2020, studying Biotechnology and Biomanufacturing. In May 2022, they obtained Honors in both Biomanufacturing and Biotechnology from Montgomery College Bioscience Education Center. In June 2021, they also obtained an EF SET English Certificate 76/100 (C2 Proficient) from EF Standard English Test (EF SET). Lastly, in December 2020, they obtained a Good Clinical Practice for Clinical Trials involving Investigational Drugs and Biologics - International Council for Harmonisation (ICH) focus from Universidad de Antioquia.
