Rev. Dr. Sheila Gary

Rev. Dr. Sheila Gary serves as the Executive Minister of the AME Church since 2009, while also holding various roles in the DeKalb School District #428 since August 2006, including 8th and 6th Grade Science Teacher, Teacher Support Specialist, and Department Chair for Science. With a long-standing tenure in education beginning in 1988 at the Dekalb County School System, Sheila Gary teaches Earth Science to diverse student groups. Academically, Sheila Gary holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership from Capella University, a Master's of Divinity from the Interdenominational Theological Center, a Doctor of Theology from Jacksonville Theological Seminary, a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from Clark Atlanta University, and a Bachelor's in Biology and Chemistry from Spelman College.
