Mario Paradiso, P.Eng

Mario Paradiso, P.Eng has over 15 years of experience in automation engineering. Mario currently works as a Project/Automation Engineer at Delco Automation Inc., where they are responsible for developing automation level 1 for water treatment plant projects. Mario designs, programs, and manages various PLC applications with Schneider EcoStruxure and creates human-machine interfaces.

Prior to their current role, Mario worked at EVRAZ North America from 2015 to 2020. As an Automation Engineer, they were involved in the design, installation, and commissioning of PLC control platforms, including migration of existing equipment. Mario also led projects for the hot rolling mill, electric arc furnaces, and pipe mills, handling design, selection, procurement, and commissioning. Additionally, they developed documentations for investment projects.

Before joining EVRAZ, Mario worked at SIDOR from 2007 to 2014 as an Automation Engineer. In this role, they conducted conceptual, basic, and detail engineering in automation, focusing on automation level 0 and level 1. Mario designed, implemented, commissioned, and improved PLCs (Schneider Electrics and Allen Bradley) and SCADA systems based on QNX.

Starting their career at BLC Venezuela in 2006, Mario served as an Automation Engineer for SIDOR CA. Mario developed and deployed new specifications for automation and control projects, programmed PLCs (Modicon Quantum, Unity, and Control Logix), and configured and commissioned various VFDs.

Mario Paradiso, P.Eng holds a degree in Electronics Engineering with a specialization in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering. Mario obtained their degree from the Antonio José de Sucre National Experimental Polytechnic University, where they studied from 1998 to 2006. In addition to their academic education, Mario has also completed the Cybersecurity Awareness Training from ESET North America in August 2020.
