Rob Verlinden has worked in a variety of roles since 1999. Rob began their career as a participant in the International Biology Olympiad in 1999. In 2002, they were Treasurer for Wervingsdagen. Rob then completed an internship in Reactor Technology at Bayer Technology Services in 2004. From 2009 to 2011, they were a Process Development Technologist at Centre for Process Innovation Limited, where they developed and optimized various industrial processes. From 2011 to 2016, they were Manager Process Development at Stahl International, leading the R&D process development team and developing solvent-free polymers from biobased raw materials. From 2016 to 2022, they were a Senior Process Technologist and Project Manager at Bioprocess Pilot Facility B.V., undertaking the technical side and project management of biotechnology projects. Rob is currently a Project Manager at DAB.bio, a role they have held since 2023.
Rob Verlinden earned a PhD in Fermentative production of bioplastics (PHAs) from the University of Wolverhampton in 2009. Rob also holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry from the Eindhoven University of Technology, which they earned in 2005.
