Yoel Sumitro

Yoel Sumitro serves as the Senior Director of Product Design & Research at Delivery Hero since September 2022, overseeing nearly 60 team members within Logistics teams. Additionally, Yoel holds the position of Adjunct Professor at the University of Europe for Applied Sciences, teaching a UX class. Previously, as the SVP and Head of Product Design & Research at tiket.com, Yoel led a significant app redesign and fostered strong interdepartmental collaboration. As VP and Head of Design at Bukalapak, Yoel expanded the product design team from 44 to over 140 members while maintaining a motivated workforce. Prior roles include Senior UX Researcher and User Experience Researcher II at Uber, where Yoel conducted extensive UX research across multiple APAC countries, and Senior Interaction Designer at adidas Group, responsible for implementing a Human Centered Design framework. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Human Centered Design and Engineering from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Institut Teknologi Bandung.
