Your Opportunity

Delta’s Director of Human Resources will drive the organization's strategic operations by working with executive leadership. The director will work through big-picture operations and be hands-on to develop the necessary human resources areas to serve the organization and employees.

Priorities will include compliance, employee relations, performance management, compensation administration, benefits administration, training and development, payroll, recruitment, workers' compensation, safety and other company specific programs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Lead the Human Resource function for the organization
  • Support Delta Medical Systems' quality policy through compliance with quality management system documentation
  • Lead initiatives that address employee retention, performance, and engagement to improve business results and enhance the employee experience
  • Work to uphold organization values to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote high employee satisfaction
  • Keep current on changing federal, state, and local laws affecting organization operations
  • Ensure organization compliance with employment laws, including EEOC, ACA, ADA, FMLA, ERISA, FLSA, DWD, OSHA, & OFCCP requirements
  • Oversee and lead the recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and off-boarding practices and procedures
  • Manage staffing issues and consult with hiring managers to develop strategies that meet organizational needs
  • Create, evaluate, and update job descriptions to maintain clear job expectations
  • Utilize recruitment software to track applicants and maintain the file-sharing system that includes templates and tools to complete the acquisition and onboarding process
  • Lead employee relations, employee training & development, performance management, and succession planning
  • Support manager development with employee relations & performance management
  • Monitor compensation shifts in the marketplace for all positions in the company and initiate a compensation study when needed
  • Partner with the Finance Department to budget for compensation, etc.
  • Oversee sourcing and administration of employee benefit services
  • Supervise leave of absence management such as FMLA, ADA, COBRA, and Workers' Compensation as needed

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Human Resources Management-specific experience
  • Experience using data analysis to drive organizational decisions
  • Experience in sales organizations, developing compensation plans including commission and bonuses for sales performance
  • Advanced knowledge of employment laws and legislation
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field, a Master’s degree is preferred
  • PHR/SHRM-CP or SPHR/SHRM-SCP certification preferred
  • Demonstrates a high level of confidentiality
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365, Excel, Word, and other HR systems
