Walter Bardelle

Walter Bardelle has extensive work experience in various roles within the technology and media industries.

Walter started their career as a Software Developer and Business Analyst at Informatica S.p.A in 1997, where they focused on the development and maintenance of web and windows applications.

In 2000, they joined CSC as a Software Developer and Business Analyst, where they continued to develop web and windows applications using various technologies such as UNIX, C, Perl, and Java.

Walter then worked at Motorola as a Software Configuration Management Engineer before joining CSC Italia as a Senior Software Developer in 2005. In this role, they led a team of 3 people and was responsible for the analysis, development, and maintenance of web and windows applications.

In 2006, Bardelle moved to Consoft as a Senior Software Developer, where they specialized in multithreading, socket programming, async programming, and web application development using Microsoft SQL Server.

In 2007, they joined Telecom Italia as a Senior Software Engineer, working on the analysis and development of Windows applications and add-ons for Internet Explorer related to SIM cards and Bluetooth devices.

Bardelle then returned to deltatre in 2009 as a Technical Leader in the Video Business Service group, where they gained experience in managing large websites and databases using .Net Framework 1.

Walter continued to progress within deltatre, taking on roles such as Solution Engineer, Project Portfolio Manager, and Software Development Manager. Walter was responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of web, mobile, and video streaming solutions, as well as coordinating staff resources and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

In 2013, Bardelle joined UEFA as a Digital Media Program and Product Manager, responsible for managing program and product development within the Digital Media division.

Walter rejoined deltatre in 2014 and held various positions, including Head of Digital Media, Solution Engineer, and Technology Leader. In these roles, they oversaw all web, mobile, and video streaming solutions, managed project budgets, and acted as an escalation point for both deltatre Governance and UEFA/Customers.

Since 2017, Bardelle has been working at Deltatre as an Operations Director, accountable for overseeing cross-functional teams and ensuring successful delivery of services.

In 2019, they were promoted to Delivery Director, where they are responsible for managing and steering service and operations teams, improving team efficiency, and providing customers with best-in-class service and support experience.

Walter Bardelle's education history includes attending Politecnico di Torino from 2004 to 2006. Walter also attended I.T.I.S. G. Peano from 1992 to 1996, where they obtained a Diploma di Perito Elettronico e Telecomunicazioni with a grade of 56/60. In addition to their formal education, Walter has obtained various certifications in fields such as artificial intelligence, project management, and digital technologies. Some of these certifications include Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals, Project Management Professional (PMP), and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
