Maryjo Smith

MaryJo Smith has over 40 years of work experience, with roles in various companies. MaryJo most recently worked at Denison Mines Corp. as the Vice President of Human Resources. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Human Resources at the same company. Before their time at Denison Mines Corp., MaryJo worked at Centerra Gold Inc. as the Manager of Controls and Compliance, where they led projects related to governance and control processes. MaryJo started their career at Imperial Oil, where they served as the Corporate Controls Advisor for 20 years, responsible for guiding and interpreting internal control policies and practices.

MaryJo Smith completed their education at the Lazaridis School of Business & Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University from 2013 to 2016, where they obtained a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources Management. MaryJo also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Wilfrid Laurier University during the same period with a similar concentration. Additionally, MaryJo Smith holds additional certifications, including a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. obtained in 1992, and a Chartered Professional Accountant CPA-CMA from Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario), obtained in 1987.
