Mary Beech

Chief of Staff at Department of Labor

Mary Beech is the current Chief of Staff at the Department of Labor. Mary has had a long and varied career in public service, including a stint as a consultant for the Biden-Harris Transition Team, where they served on the Department of Labor Agency Review Team. Prior to that, they were a consultant for the Beeck Center for Social Impact + Innovation, and also served as Convenor for the Innovation and 21st Century Government Policy Committees for Biden for President. Mary has also worked as a consultant for Northeastern University, and as Policy Director for Denyse Wang Stoneback for State Representative. In addition to their work in public policy, Mary has also been heavily involved in political campaigning, serving as a policy volunteer for Pete for America, where they were a part of the Future of Work Group and the Technology Policy Committee. Mary began their career as an AmeriCorps RISE Fellow with New Sector Alliance, and later went on to work as a manager for Third Sector Capital Partners, Inc. before finally landing their current position with the Department of Labor.

Mary Beech studied economics as an undergraduate at Tufts University. Mary then went on to earn their MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
