Anna Jacobson

Anna Jacobson has a diverse work experience across various organizations and sectors. Anna started their career as a Legislative Affairs Intern for the United States Senate in 2006 and later worked as a Broadcast Intern for ABC News. In 2009, they joined Social Impact as a Business Development Associate and later became a Program Associate, providing technical and management oversight on government contracts.

In 2012, Anna joined the International Rescue Committee as a Grants Manager and later took on the role of Emergency Response Coordinator. Anna also served as the Design, Monitoring, and Evaluation Coordinator, overseeing the growth of the Grants and M&E Departments. Anna then worked at the United Nations as a Graduate Intern, monitoring political developments and drafting analysis memos.

Anna's career in the humanitarian sector continued with roles at Mercy Corps as a Consultant, USAID - Office of Transition Initiatives (OTI) as a Graduate Intern, and the National Democratic Institute (NDI) as a Senior Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist.

Most recently, Anna joined USAID - Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance as a Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor, and they are currently working at the U.S. Department of State as the Team Lead for Strategic Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation, and Risk Management. Anna also held the position of Humanitarian Assistance Coordinator at the State Department.

Throughout their career, Anna has demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation, risk management, humanitarian assistance coordination, and political analysis.

Anna Jacobson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in International Relations and Affairs from Georgetown University in 2009. Anna then pursued a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy at The Fletcher School at Tufts University from 2015 to 2017, with a focus on Analysis, Design, Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (ADMEL) and Public International Law. Anna also attended Sciences Po from 2007 to 2008, although no specific degree or field of study was mentioned.
