Kyla Hochfilzer

Kyla Hochfilzer has a diverse work experience, starting with their roles at Harrogate Borough Council as a Customer Service Advisor from November 2007 to November 2009. Kyla then joined Nature's Path Foods, where they held positions such as Public Relations Intern, Marketing Communications Specialist, Communications Manager, and Communications Planner & Manager from January 2010 to February 2016. Since March 2016, Kyla has been working at Destination Canada, where they have held various roles, including Communications Advisor, Marketing Manager, Senior Manager of Global Marketing (International), and Acting Senior Director of Global Marketing (North America). Their most recent position at Destination Canada is Acting Senior Director, Global Marketing, North America.

Kyla Hochfilzer's education history begins with a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Political Studies and International Relations from Bishop's University, which they completed in 2006. Kyla then pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Relations from the University of Victoria, which they completed in 2009.

In 2014, Kyla enrolled in the UBC Sauder School of Business and completed an Executive Education program in Project Management Essentials. Their education journey continued with the Richmond Farm School at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, where they obtained a degree in the Institute for Sustainable Food Systems in 2021.

Aside from their formal education, Kyla has also acquired additional certifications to enhance their professional skills. Kyla obtained Indigenous Awareness certification from Indigenous Corporate Training Inc. in September 2020. In March 2017, they acquired PuMP® Certification from Stacey Barr Pty Ltd. Furthermore, they completed the Management Development Program from the Ken Blanchard Group in January 2012.
