Edward Murrell

Edward Murrell has worked in various roles since 2012. Edward started as a Senior Developer at Catalyst IT Australia Pty Limited, where they worked on Open2Study & Opentraining.edu.au MOOCs. In 2015, they moved to Open Universities Australia as a Senior Developer, where they were responsible for custom CMS modules and commerce code. In 2016, they were a Senior Developer at Astute Payroll, where they built and refactored various components of the exporting engine and introduced regular retros for developers. In 2017, they worked as a Lead Engineer for System Team Practice at nbn™ Australia, a Contract Software Engineer at PreviousNext, and an Owner/Contractor at Code Foundation. In 2018, they were a Tech Lead at EonX, and in 2020, they were a Development Lead at Cevo Australia. Most recently, in 2021, they were an Honorary Fellow at Murdoch Childrens Research Institute, and they currently serve as a Lead Engineer at Detexian.

Edward Murrell obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from The University of Waikato between 2000 and 2005. Edward also holds certifications from Acquia as an Acquia Certified Developer (obtained in December 2014) and from Amazon Web Services (AWS) as an AWS Certified Developer – Associate (obtained in August 2021) and an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (obtained in November 2020).
