Growth and Strategy Operations Lead at DevRev

Emily Tegland has a diverse work experience, beginning with their current role as People Operations at DevRev, which they started in 2022. Prior to this, they were an Operations Coordinator at GRIP - Training Institute from 2021. In 2020, Emily worked as a Crisis Stabilization Counselor at Seneca Family of Agencies, providing trauma-informed crisis management and interventions for youth within the San Francisco child welfare system, SFDPH, SFUSD, or the Crisis Stabilization Unit. Emily also represented and advocated for MRT as a regional representative. In 2019, Emily was an Fair Housing Project Intern at Prairie State Legal Services Inc., researching housing laws, mapping housing development in Illinois, and presenting fair housing laws and educational material at local outreach events. Emily also worked as an English Second Language Tutor at The Literacy Council, creating reading, grammar, writing, and professional development lessons for adult learners. In 2016, Emily was an Organizing Fellow at the Pennsylvania Democratic Party, persuading and mobilizing voters through canvassing, phone banking and text banking, recruiting, training, and managing volunteers and volunteer teams, and leading volunteer events.

Emily Tegland attended Penn State University from 2016 to 2019, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Global and International Studies, a Certificate in Diversity Studies, and a Minor in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. In 2019, they also completed an International Honors Program at the School for International Training in Human Rights.
