Stefan Szylkarski

Stefan Szylkarski is the EVP of Water Resources & Mining at DHI Group. Stefan has been with DHI for 25 years and 1 month, and has held various positions during their tenure including Executive Vice President, Senior Vice President, Vice President - Inland Water, Regional Director, Vice President - Mining, Managing Director (Australia), State Manager - Queensland (Australia), Senior Engineer, and Project Engineer - Water Resource Department. Stefan is responsible for DHI Group sales of products and services for Inland Water Segments (Government, Utilities, Risk & Insurance, Mining), and is also responsible for Southern hemisphere offices including Peru, New Zealand, Australia, and South Africa. Stefan has played a key role in developing DHI's mining consulting business from startup to what it is today, with two offices in Denver, CO and Lima, Peru. Additionally, they have developed the Australian consulting business to 35+ water professionals across three office in Sydney, Brisbane and Perth. Prior to joining DHI, Stefan worked as a Hydraulics Engineer at Lawson &Treloar Pty Ltd in Sydney for 5 years and 3 months.

Stefan Szylkarski has a MEngSc from UNSW in Water (1992-1994), a B.E. from The University of Queensland in Civil (1988-1991), and is registered with Engineers Australia as a National Engineering Register, APEC Engineer, Chartered Professional Engineer, and Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland.
