Amanda Austin has extensive work experience in various roles. Amanda currently holds the position of Director of People Experience at Dialexa, an IBM Company since May 2021. Prior to this, Amanda founded and served as CEO of Dallas Comedy House from January 2009 to August 2020. In this role, they oversaw daily operations, managed a team of full-time and part-time employees, and achieved significant revenue growth. Amanda also worked as an Assistant Service Manager at Sewell Automotive Companies from April 2003 to October 2009, where they authored a training manual, upheld customer service standards, and led and supported a team of other managers. Additionally, Amanda worked as an Instructor at Dale Carnegie Training from May 2004 to December 2007.
Amanda Austin holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Journalism with a minor in Business Administration from Texas A&M University, which they obtained from 1997 to 2001. Amanda also has a Master's degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Harvard University, completed from 2020 to 2023. Additionally, Amanda has obtained a Graduate Certificate in Organizational Behavior Studies from Harvard University, a Certificate in DEI: Building a Diverse Workforce from Cornell University, and is a Certified Instructor from the Dale Carnegie Training Facility.
