Matt Clement

Player Advisor at Diamond Kinetics

A nine-year Major League starting pitcher and 2005 All-Star, Matt Clement brings a unique and qualified vision to Diamond Kinetics in his role as player advisor, playing a huge part in helping shape and develop DK’s ‘Smart Ball’ product PitchTracker.

Known for his live fastball and sharp slider, Clement began his MLB career with the San Diego Padres in 1998 after being taken in the third round of the MLB Draft straight out of high school. He played three seasons in San Diego before a one-year stint with the Florida Marlins in 2001.

From there, Clement’s star shone brightest over the next four years – three with the Chicago Cubs where he finished in the Top-10 in K/9 – before earning his All-Star appearance with the Boston Red Sox in ’05.

Clement currently serves as the varsity boys’ basketball coach at his alma-mater Butler Area High School in Butler, PA., where he was the starting point guard on Butler’s 1993 team that made it to the WPIAL Class AAAA final.
