David Wong

David Wong, CISA, CDPSE, serves as the Group Director of IT Security and Operations at Digicel Group since April 2014, where notable achievements include obtaining ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certifications, and the development of the Information Security Management System (ISMS) and the Privacy Information Management System (PIMS). Wong has progressed through various roles within Digicel, focusing on IT security program management across 31 countries, strategic planning, vendor management, incident response, compliance, and policy development. Prior to Digicel, Wong gained experience as a Senior Systems and Technology Officer at the Bank of Jamaica, developing methodologies for risk-focused IT examinations and conducting IT assessments of major banks. Additionally, an experience at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation involved participating in bank examinations with a focus on IT-related risks. Wong holds an education from The University of the West Indies and St. Georges College.
