Jonathan Shan

Jonathan Shan has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Jonathan is currently working at DigiSure as the Head of Strategy & Ops and Customer Success, a role they took on in July 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of Strategy & Ops at DigiSure from 2022 to 2023. Before joining DigiSure, they worked as a Strategy Consultant from January 2022 to July 2022.

Jonathan also has experience in the venture capital and startup ecosystem. Jonathan was a Member of MIT Alumni Angels of Northern California, a group that focuses on deep technology startups and performs technical diligence on investment opportunities.

In 2018, Jonathan founded Nexus and served as the Founder & Chief Executive Officer until June 2022. Jonathan continued to work as a Founder/Advisor at Nexus until December 2022.

Jonathan also worked at Buou Buou Apparel (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. as an Executive Director from 2009 to 2012.

Jonathan's early career included roles at Sponsors for Educational Opportunity as a Program Coordinator in 2008, William D. Witter, Inc. as a Junior Portfolio Manager/Senior Research Analyst in 2007, TriSun Asset Management as a Research Analyst - Generalist from 2005 to 2006, and J.P. Morgan as a Financial Analyst - Investment Banking Coverage from 2003 to 2005. At J.P. Morgan, they participated in various projects involving valuation, financial analysis, and mentoring junior analysts.

Jonathan Shan started their education at Tulane University - A.B. Freeman School of Business, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Finance and Information Systems from 1999 to 2002. Jonathan then pursued further education at Peking University, earning a Certificate in Mandarin Chinese from 2009 to 2011. In 2011, Jonathan Shan attended Tsinghua University, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration degree with a focus on General Management from 2011 to 2013. Jonathan also attended MIT Sloan School of Management from 2012 to 2013, earning a Master of Science degree in Management Studies. Additionally, they were a cross-registered student at Harvard Business School during the same period. Lastly, they participated in Y Combinator's Startup School, although the specific start and end years are not provided.
