Michael K. has extensive work experience in various legal roles. Michael is currently the Vice President, Head of Legal at Digital Currency Group, where they previously served as the Director of Legal and Regulatory. Prior to that, they worked as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia Law School. Before joining Digital Currency Group, Michael worked as a Startup and Venture Capital Attorney at Cooley LLP. Michael also has experience in business development and expansion at Compass. Earlier in their career, they were an Associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP. Michael has also been actively involved in pro bono work, serving as an Extern/Volunteer at Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts and as a Legal Extern at Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem. Michael founded MK Tutoring in 2002, where they worked until 2013.

Michael K. attended Columbia Law School, where they earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree. Prior to that, they pursued their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History and Political Communication at the University of Pennsylvania.
