Mel Dale

Mel Dale has over 20 years of experience in human resources and training. Mel is currently the Head of People Operations at Directive. Prior to their current role, they served as the Director of Learning and Development at NinjaCat from September 2017 to October 2021. In this role, they were responsible for building performance management systems, creating and overseeing new employee onboarding programs, employee training, employee engagement program management, competency mapping and skills assessments, documenting and maintaining job descriptions, administering performance management, LMS, ATS, and HRIS platforms.

Before their time at NinjaCat, Dale was a Global Retail Trainer at Apple from June 2010 to September 2017. In this role, they led and coached a team of trainers, facilitated new employee orientations, conducted employee training, and hosted customer education events. Prior to their time at Apple, Dale worked as a Human Resources Trainer at Universal Orlando Resort from April 1999 to August 2004.

Mel Dale completed a graphic design program at Valencia College and holds certifications from Apple and LinkedIn. Mel is an Apple Certified Professional in Keynote and Pages, and holds LinkedIn certifications in Agile Instructional Design, Time Management Fundamentals, and Organizational Learning and Development.

They are on a team with Alex Reyes - Director of Sales, Michael Twelftree - Managing Director, EMEA and APAC, and Brady Cramm - VP, Strategic Investments. Some direct reports include Tiffany Stroud Patel - Director of Employee Experience, Haley Killion - Director of Talent Acquisition. Mel Dale reports to Garrett Mehrguth, CEO.
